Master Medical Herbalist

Liz Kane is a Master Medical Herbalist, Nutritionist and Iridologist practicing in Dungarvan in Co. Waterford. She is a member of The Irish Association of Master and Medical Herbalists in Ireland. Liz offers herbal and nutritional consultations with iris analysis. Your diet and life-style will be reviewed along with current health status, medical history and your health goals. Herbal remedies, nutritional powders and natural healing protocols may be recommended along with dietary guidelines, recipes and exercise plan.

As a medical  herbalist Liz will always strive to identify the root cause of your health problem while seeking to relieve uncomfortable or painful symptoms with herbal remedies that are formulated specifically for you. Often patients presenting with the same symptoms will leave with different herbs as the underlying cause varies and we each have different body system support needs, whether it be for the digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous or other body system.

Herbal Medicine can help in the treatment of many chronic health conditions including:

  • Digestive problems, constipation and IBS
  • Chronic stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue
  • Headaches and insomnia
  • Asthma, sinusitis and recurring coughs
  • Poor circulation, high/low blood pressure or cholesterol
  • Menstrual problems, infertility and menopausal symptoms
  • Arthritis and fibromyalgia
  • Skin problems such as eczema and acne
  • and more …

Liz practices in the traditions of the Master Herbalist as taught by the Master Herbalist, Dr. John Ray Christopher. The Master Herbalist tradition is built on three basic tenets to naturally restore health: Cleanse, Nourish and Heal.

Cleansing the body of excess mucous, toxins and old faecal matter can help to alleviate many chronic conditions of ill health. Nourishing the body provides it with what it needs to carry out basic functions and heal and repair itself. It provides the energy needed for healthy living. Healing herbs and foods assist the body’s innate healing ability. The rate at which we heal varies but when we give the body what it needs and support the healing process with healing herbs and foods then healing can occur naturally.
